About Yvonne Seballo
is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor who earned her Masters degree in counseling from Webster University and her Doctorial degree in counseling from Barry University. She is a Registered Nurse with over 40 years experience in general, psychiatric and critical care nursing. Her passion for providing compassionate care for those suffering both physically and mentally propelled her to the arena of counseling.
Yvonne is a dedicated professional who enjoys working with adults. Her experience as a therapist includes individual and group therapy. She worked in a women’s residential facility for recovering drug addicts, teaching parenting education and conducting individual and group therapy. She also worked as an independent contractor in private practice specializing in anxiety, depression and stress management. Yvonne’s style in counseling is that of empathy, compassion, sincerity and warmth. Her goal is to equip clients with the tools they need to help them to live a happier and productive life. She uses Cognitive Behavioral Therapy for the treatment of anxiety and depression. Spirituality is also an important aspect in counseling for Yvonne, because she believes in caring for the mind, body and spirit. She is respectful of people’s belief system and will not introduce this area, unless the client wishes to. Reducing symptoms and learning coping skills is the desired outcome.
